Admissions

DURATION OF COURSE

The course for the degree of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a whole time/ full time Regular course extending over a period of two academic years having four semesters. Students pursing the said course shall be permitted to complete the programme within a maximum period of three years from the date of admission to the programme.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

Candidates with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) candidates either in the Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) pattern and/or Master's Degree in Science/Social Science/Humanity, Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligibility for admission to the programme.

FACILITIES :

College fulfills all the infrastructural requirements as per the norms of UGC/NCTE/University authorities.

Building:

The building has independent structure having four floors with varied instructional and essential facilities, spacious rooms, fully equipped with proper electric connection, modern sanitation, appropriate ventilation, safe and broad stairs even ramps for easy movement of the students and fire safety provisions.


Class rooms:

There are 10 number of Class Rooms with adequate seating capacity fully equipment with light, display boards, black boards and arrangement for audio/video projection.


Multipurpose Hall:

One multipurpose hall is available for the conduct of various academics and training programme, conduct of examination, training workshops, seminars, induction courses, conferences as well as co-curricular activities.


Library:

The library is located at Third floor having adequate seating capacity of about 100 students. At present more than 4000 books are available in the college library and more books are being added as per requirements.


Audio Visual Room:

An Audio Visual room having overhead projector and slide projector, cassette recorders, VCR and other related facilities is available Computer and separate General Science lab is also available.


Computer Lab:

A computer lab with advanced PCs and server computer to provide regular computer instructional facilities is available.


Administrative offices:

The complex has a Principal Office, Staff Room & Office with essential facilities at ground floor.


Science Lab:

Separate General Science Lab is also established with desired lab facilities.


Play Ground:

A multipurpose big play ground for outdoor games has been developed for carrying out sports activities.


LIBRARY :

The College Library has a large number of books on various subjects pertaining to B.Ed course. The books on general items and encyclopaedias are available in the stocks of the library, sequentially accessioned. The educational magazines, journals and periodicals have been subscribed and regularly placed in the library. The National and local newspapers are made available to the students and teachers. The librarian is available for issue of books during College working hours.

The library has been housed in a spacious hall where the comfortable arrangements of study for 50 to 60 students is available in the reading room. No student is allowed to create indiscipline in the library, if any is found guilty is liable to be punished.

Rules & Regulations of the Library:

The books are issued to the students for one week only.

If any student does not return the book after one week, he is liable to pay a fine of Rupee Two per day.

If any book is lost or tampered or turn, the students has to deposit a new volume of the same author or double of the cost of book is chargeable from the defaulters.

The journals and magazines will not be issued to any student.

They students are strictly advised not to deface any newspaper or magazine or journal. They are further advised not to write anything on the study tables or chairs. The defaulter, if caught, will be fined, accordingly.

All students will pay an amount of Rs 500.00 as Library Security which will be refundable after the declaration of the final results.

No outsider is allowed to enter the library without the prior permission of the principal/Lecturer incharge/Librarian. The reference books will not be issued to any student, staff member, without prior permission of the principal.


Library cum Identity-Card :

All the students are advised to secure a Library-cum-identity-card from the office. The students are supposed to carry identity cards with them during college hours. The identity card is to be returned by the student after the completion of the course.

The students are to produce Library-cum-identity card at the time of borrowing book from the college Library. In case this card is lost, a duplicate identity card will be issued to the student on payment of Rs 50/-.
